Ethan Lipsitz is a social practice artist exploring how we define and actualize love.
By examining his own experiences with mortality, dis-ease, conflict, identity and interconnection Ethan seeks to understand and demonstrate love in practice. His mediums include large-scale paintings on buildings, textiles and cars, collective musical experiences, salon style conversations, immersive environmental design and audio/video productions.
Ethan has a background in urban design, apparel manufacturing, civic engagement and creative entrepreneurship and has lived in Boston, Philadelphia (where he attended the University of Pennsylvania), Barcelona (where he studied at Elisava School of Design) and Sydney before settling in Los Angeles in 2008.
He is a husband and father and has been living with brain cancer since 2017.
